How it works

  • Send the form. A person looks at your website and public records (Companies House, FSA, OpenStreetMap), works out your category, the jobs you do and the towns you cover, and adds the listing, usually within a few days. We never publish a home address: work from home and we show the area you cover (Free: your home area, up to 3 towns; Promoted: as many towns as you serve, or the whole county).
  • Your free listing shows your name, category, area or address, a pin on the map, your one line about the business, up to 3 service bullets and a short description (if you give them to us; we read everything before it appears), an "Added by the business" tag and an Update details link, with customer ratings. You appear on the matching job pages and in search.
  • Customer requests. Customer requests reach you as emails marked “Lead from LincsDirectory”. Promoted businesses covering the job and town get requests first; free listings get them only when no Promoted business covers it. We aim to pass them on by email within one working day; we can't promise how many you'll get. They come from the "Get local help" form and from the Request a quote button on your own listing.
  • Promoted: press Subscribe after sending the form (£4.99 a month, through Stripe's secure checkout). Your listing is switched on once your payment shows, within one working day, and your free Aide business report follows.
  • Change or remove your listing any time through the claim form. Credentials you tell us about are shown as supplied by you, never as verified; customers are told to check before they book.
